I took a vacation day to get some chores done around the house. Part of that included some cleaning, though not as much as I planned.
As I was wiping down the surfaces in my kitchen, it occurred to me the top of my refrigerator always has an overwhelming amount of dust bunnies and strange, stuck-on dirt on it. How does this happen?
While many people consider the top of the refrigerator a spot that only gets touched during those deep-cleaning moments, I regularly clean mine off ... mostly because I'm 6'3", and the top of my refrigerator is eye level for me.

As I am 5 ft. 1 3/4 inches tall, this is not of concern to me (ever). My beloved, however, is troubled by the dust on all eye-level objects -- but only right before company arrives.
Therefore, it's his problem. I'm all, "what dust? I don't see dust? Keep the ceiling fan running, and no one will see the dust there either." No problemo.

It's all that moisture in the kitchen that makes everything up there so sticky and ooey-gooey. Solution: No more cooking.
I think I'm going with the no more cooking approach. That means fewer dishes, so even less to clean. I like it. Or maybe I need to get a bigger refrigerator?
just wanted to leave a comment to say very nice blog :)
